Strategy development
By pulling together needs analysis with benchmarking and best practice identification we produce a document that lays out a suggested strategy for the redevelopment of a web presence.
Clients typically use us when
- They have decided to get a full grasp of their own needs before appointing a design-and-build agency
- The site is being built in-house
- They want the support of independent experts who can be used to monitor the build process and review afterwards
- They want to use real specialists for each phase of a web presence’s redevelopment: Bowen Craggs for needs analysis, best practice identification and guideline strategy; a design-and-build agency for the creative and technical element.
We like to think of ourselves as architects, in the house-building sense. We analyse needs, come up with concepts and broad plans, and work with a design-and-build agency (or in-house team) to ensure the construction is as functional as it should be. The detail into which we will go varies from case to case, but we will generally stop short of the ‘wireframe’ stage – we will not take responsibility for the construction itself, because we could not then have an independent monitoring and quality control role.
We will either work with the client before an agency is appointed or will work closely with the agency (or in-house team) to ensure that the project is planned and implemented seamlessly. The deliverable is normally a succinct document, backed up by research created during needs analysis, benchmarking and best practice analysis. It will contain clear recommendations and many relevant examples from other sites, which we will then discuss with client/agency/in-house build team. We are happy either to take overall lead of the project or to perform a supporting role once the design-and-build stage has started.
Sustainability and continuous improvement are important aspects of any online communications strategy.
