About Bowen Craggs

The web presence is frequently the largest item in a communications or marketing budget, yet it is notoriously difficult to measure or ensure its effectiveness. Bowen Craggs provides a unique service to website owners by acting as an expert and independent adviser complementing in-house and other third party resources.

Our client list includes 35 of the world’s largest organisations, including 13 from the Bowen Craggs FT Index. This demonstrates that the need for such a service is recognised increasingly by organisations with a substantial, normally global, web presence. Around 100 global leaders also participate in our website effectiveness networking group.

We neither build websites nor sell software. The rationale behind this is to provide fully independent advice. We will not undertake any work which brings us into contact with the delivery of any website. Our recommendation is for the client to use other resources where appropriate. This means that we can objectively work alongside you, acting on your behalf, to ensure that the deliverables meet high standards with no conflict of interest.

We believe that the only truly valuable approach is to consider a web presence against its potential – that is, to identify what it might be doing (to support a group’s communication and other activities) against what it is doing. The key question is rarely ‘Is it right?’. It is much more likely to be: ‘How appropriate is it?’.

We are also able to use our knowledge of the web to ask an additional question: ‘How do other people do it, and are there useful lessons to be learned there?’. Our approach is therefore closer to business and communications consultancy (with a special focus on the web) than to a new media agency.

Please use the links to the left to find out more about us, or the specific Services that we offer. Our extensive Best practice library – all of which is written in-house – illustrates our approach and is, we hope, both informative and entertaining.
