Member-hosted member-only networking events
Group meetings mix an unvarnished and independent overview of online communications with practical insights into current challenges and future opportunities.
From the outset in 2003, the events have been renowned for top-of-the-agenda presentations from other group members which get to the bottom of the critical issues facing online communicators. But as big a draw as the topics is the opportunity to network with fellow professionals who share a belief in the improvement-enhancing potential of exploring common ground in an informal environment.
Each meeting is hosted by a network member. Previous meetings have been held in London, Geneva, Munich and Amsterdam. In 2008 we are holding our first meeting in the USA.
While most of the 100 plus members work in Fortune 500 corporations, we welcome senior managers from public sector and non-governmental organisations with responsibility for large web presences.
As a group member you can attend as many meetings as you wish or keep up to speed through access to all speaker presentations and the anonymised minutes.
Secure online member networking tool
The latest extension to membership benefits is exclusive access to a simple online networking tool. This private and secure Google Group allows you to make and maintain key business relationships with other members of the group.
If you are unable make a meeting, the access afforded by the tool to the presentations and anonymised minutes is the best way of getting an overview of the proceedings. You can also take part in and share the results of our annual and ad hoc surveys.
Reduced rate annual conference pass
The annual Web Effectiveness Conference is held over two days in June. Network members are offered delegate passes at 20 per cent discount.
Membership criteria
There is no cost to join but membership is exclusive and subject to acceptance. Applicants must be senior industry professionals working for large corporate or public sector/ non-governmental organisations. Members agree to their being made known to fellow and prospective members.
